Probably none, because everything happens on social networks nowadays. You can even read scanlated manga on Facebook... Among other things. Kids called VnS "an era", signifying it already ended, just like the older accvn.

As for this forum, I'll hazard a guess even the admin doesn't visit often anymore, which is why errors last much longer than justifiable.

It has been 4 days since my last response, which is enough to say "once in a while."
Regarding the latest trend and whatnot on anime related gatherings, I have no clues either.
It seems that other media platforms have more to offer in term of accessibility and recognition like you said, namely FB and hell, we even have a Discord which is totally not affiliated with the forum but rather the FB page. IDK
