I would love to try my hand at this but I still don't get how it works. Like how can you write so that it doesn't seem forced for your OCs to be there when you can't really interact with the other OCs? How many characters can I introduce into it until I mess up everything? And more importantly how much control can I have over the settings, because that is one area I'm very much passionate about. Of course for Slice of life it can be vague but eh, I prefer developed settings more than vague ones.

Basically, another version of "If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?". Of course it does.

Now, because we 'know' that the cat is already either dead or still alive, not only be decided when we open the box, so the interpretation is flawed.

I first stumbled upon the Schrodinger's Cat around the time I read Bokurano, when they talked about the, err, teleportation thing. Of course that lead me to some ideas about conscious thought. My answer to this "If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound" was a definite yes and it really hasn't changed since.

But the very reason I chose yes was because of my own sentiment, so wouldn't you say it's still treating the consciousness as a self-important factor?

Or as a wise man has once said, everyone acts for the sake of their own self-satisfaction, even the selfless people.

But a writer still has to discuss with the owner if he/she plans to 'borrow' an OC. And if that's me, I will give very specific instructions on how to handle my characters.

It's also my weak point in writing that if I don't have total control on certain characters I would get stuck.

No, if you can prove that your answer is necessarily true regardless of your being. Descartes went from proving his own existence to be necessarily true, to proving God's existence to be necessarily true (which is bullshit to be honest, but let's not go to far from the border here)
