When I hear this piece, I think of an old lady who fulfilled many things in her life. She had a sad and poor childhood, her father dying in battle, her mother not being able to pay for many nice things for the young girl. As the girl grew, she was interested in academics, maths and science and such. The girl grew to become a nurse for the soldiers at war, and it was there where she met her destined to be husband. He made her blush, laugh, and eventually they got married. Few people came, but it was a joyous wedding all the same. They bought a home in the country, doing it up as their own, and in it they raised many children. Year after year, through the seasons, the man and woman loved each other unconditionally. The children grew up, left for school, then work, and then had children of their own. Soon, the man got dementia. Him and his wife were very old, and so he was taken to a care home where he eventually died, quietly in his sleep. His wife continued to make his bed, cook his breakfast, and one morning, sat in her rocking chair on the porch, she too passed peacefully - happy and content with her life.
